Staff nurses will plan, direct and carry out shift routines in the assigned nursing unit and observe, direct and evaluate the activities of personnel as the person “in charge” according to the Nurse Practice Act.

      Lawson Manor Assisted Living Manager

      Full-time, Reports to Director of Nursing

      JOB SUMMARY: The Lawson Manor Assisted Living Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to our Residents. The ALF Manager will perform administrative and supervisory functions, will act as a liaison with healthcare providers and family members, and will also provide direct and indirect care-related functions within the CBRF environment.  

       QUALIFICATIONS

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • Three years of CBRF or Nursing Home experience preferred
      • At least one year of supervisory experience preferred
      • Licensed Practical Nurse License preferred, with Fire Safety CBRF certification
      • Full CBRF certification if not licensed as an LPN

      Other Skills and Abilities Required

      • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize duties
      • Customer service oriented
      • Strong communication and teamwork skills
      • Demonstrated ability to work with the elderly

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

      Resident Care Functions

      • Work in collaboration with physicians and pharmacists to monitor the Resident medications. Stock, count, and dispose of expired meds per policies and maintain proper documentation for future inspection by the regulatory entities
      • Prepare and review individualized service plans for each resident
      • Assist in day-to-day care of residents as necessary
      • Provide care in accordance with State and Federal regulations
      • Assist with preparation and delivery of meals and snacks
      • Complete record review and data collection on resident health status
      • Report promptly to the nurse/physician any changes in the resident condition
      • Provide family updates regarding care concerns or changes
      • Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner
      • Maintain appropriate medical records for all residents

      Personnel Functions

      • Interview job applicants, hire staff, ensure proper training and supervision of staff
      • Assist in preparing staff schedules
      • Attend designated departmental and training meetings
      • Develop and maintain a positive working relationships with inter-departmental personnel
      • Complete ongoing training to maintain professional and technical knowledge

       Quality 

      • Monitor the quality of care provided to residents
      • Assure that the facility is kept in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition
      • Participate with resident, family and employee satisfaction surveys as directed

       Physical Requirements 

      • Lift a minimum of 30 pounds
      • Be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability
      • Able to endure prolonged walking, sitting, standing, use of pulling, bending, and stooping movements

      • Able to adapt to changes in daily work hour and schedule

      • Maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record
      • Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work
      • Adherence to facility policies and procedures, State and Federal regulations
      • May be required to satisfactorily complete an exam or other testing requirement(s) to determine skill proficiency
